I originally purchased this product through another vendor to try.Middle Eastern food and coffee are favorites of mine and I wanted to try some of the coffee of Israel.I have tried the Turkish blend and was impressed by the smoothness of the Arabica/Robusta blend and wanted to try "regular" coffee. This is a very solid coffee - it's a medium to medium-dark roast with no trace of being over-roasted.The value of the 4-pack is the price is better than available through most online (or local) Mid-East markets. This has earned a permanent spot in my coffee rotation.

If you're used to drinking office coffee, this may be a bit light for you. It's closer to tea than coffee, but oh my goodness, it's so good.

Product Description:
Our quest for exotic coffees led us to the grandmother of all spices -- coriander, probably one of the first spices used by mankind, having been known as early as 5000 BC. While cardamom is the most predominant spice added to Turkish coffee in the Middle East, coriander is the preferred spice for many North Africans. Berber Coffee is our own blend of the finest Central American coffees, freshly ground with fresh coriander added.

Cairo Turkish Style Coffee .5lb Bag
Average Reviews:

I do not drink Turkish coffee. I find it too concentrated and bitter. But I LOVE Natasha's Cairo and Beber Turkish style coffee. Why? Because you don't have to use it to make Turkish coffee! You can put it in a regular coffeemaker and it will brew regular American coffee. Use just slightly less than you would of regular ground coffee to compensate for the finer grind.

But why would you want to do that? I'll tell you. Because Natasha's Cairo and Berber taste SO MUCH BETTER than American coffee you will be amazed. Why? Two words cardamom: (Cairo) and coriander (Berber). Both these spices suck the bitterness straight out of the coffee and leave it tasting delicious without even the slightest hint of sweetness, and de minimus calories.

Try it just once. You will be amazed. But be forewarned. You will alsofeel cheated and wonder "why oh why have I been drinking this American swill that I can only choke down with a cup of milk and a tablespoon of sugar all my life?" That's right. Black coffee doesn't have to taste bad. Try Natasha's Cairo or Berber brands and you'll find out why.

BTW, Don't order the other brands because without cardamom or coriander Turkish coffee is even more bitter than American. And don't order the Najjar, even with cardamom. Its not the same quality as Natasha's own blends, maybe because Natasha's grinds theirs in Kentucky, not in Beirut.

Product Description:
Coffee Cairo is Turkish coffee, spiced with cardamom and cloves, a blend closer to the first coffee of the 16th and 17th centuries. They drink it this way in most of the Middle East, in Middle Eastern restaurants in America, and of course, in Cairo.

Turkish Coffee

I had to work in Turkey through New Year's evening this year at a remote warehouse / office for my company's franchise there. Desperate for coffee in the off hours, a co-worker and I searched the canteen cupboards and found a container of this exact coffee and some sugar. We actually made it in a microwave on low power stirring and watching and, amazingly enough, it came out extremely well. If you like authentic Turkish coffee, this is the real thing and it's as easy to make as hot chocolate.

Product Description:
Turkish Coffee is the name given to a type of coffee whose preparation and brewing techniques were invented by the Turks. It has a unique taste, froth, aroma, brewing technique and presentation... in other words it has its own identity and tradition. The first coffee was made in the Arabian Peninsula by boiling coffee cherries. The new method invented by the Turks revealed coffee's true flavour and peerless aroma. The Turks introduced coffee to Europe where for many years it was prepared and consumed as Turkish Coffee. Turkish Coffee is made from high quality arabica coffee beans from Central America and Brazil that are blended and carefully roasted, then very finely ground. The coffee is mixed with water and the desired amount of sugar and cooked in a "cezve", or Turkish coffeepot. The coffee is served in small cups. The coffee must be left to stand for a short time after serving to allow the grounds to settle at the bottom of the cup.HOW TO PREPARE:It only takes two minutes to prepare Turkish Coffee. Using the coffee cup as a measuring cup, pour one cup of drinking water in the cezve per cup of Turkish Coffee (the quality of the water affects the quality of the coffee). Add two teaspoons of coffee (5 g) and two teaspoons of sugar (as desired) per cup. Blend the coffee and sugar with a spoon over a low flame. When the coffee boils over a second time, pour the remaining coffee into the coffee cups. Allow the remaining coffee to brew a while longer before adding it to the cups. It is customary to serve Turkish Coffee with a glass of water. The water prepares the mouth for the coffee's flavour. When serving a large group, it is best to prepare semi-sweet Turkish Coffee.

Looks nice, doesn't work. I love coffee, turkish style, espresso, ect. this is most upsetting to me when the bean enters the device then won't grind, adjustments don't work, I am so angry I haven't even thought of returning it because I'm likely to smash it over the sellers head.

Brass coffee mill with hand carved design. Brass, which is obtained by amalgamating copper and zinc, is durable, hard, and yet easly workable, which made it a prime metal to use in ship making, jewelry, and accessories. Since it is easily hammered compared to the bronze, it has been used in household utensils and cups, bowls, and pans, and it has also been used decoratively in lighting due to its similarity with gold.Pirinç uzerine i'leme yap'larak dizayn edilmi' geleneksel, topuzlu kahve de'irmeni, i'levselli'ini otantik ''kl'''yla birle'tiriyor.
